About Al’s Pals
I love the excitement and companionship that comes with being a professional pet sitter and caring for and being around pets gives me a sense of purpose. I started my career in Corporate America and spent more than 10 years of my professional life sitting in front of a computer. But when my company, like so many others, did a reorganization and eliminated my position, I had to take a close look at what was important to me. I realized how much I loved animals, and more specifically, spending time with my dog. I feel very comfortable meeting new people, but more importantly taking care of their animals is a way I can help out in the community.
For too long my family and I would always worry about leaving our dogs alone. Like when we went on day trips or we would limit our time away so they wouldn’t be alone for too long. Even while I would be working, I would still be concerned about leaving my beloved Boston Terrier, Abby, alone for too long. So I understand from experience the stress, worry and limitations that you feel when you go away, are at work or when it just seems like there isn’t enough time in the day. You want to make sure that all of your pets’ needs are taken care of. After all, they are a member of your family, too.
